Hot Air Balloon in Pokhara - 1 days

Hot air ballooning in Pokhara is one of the adventure activity which can make you feel like a bird flying in the high sky. In Nepal, ballooning offers the beautiful view of sunrise, the Himalayan ranges and peaks, and the mesmerizing lake of Pokhara city. It is conducted in Pokhara only, the city of lakes and caves. Pokhara is 204.4 km away from Kathmandu and you can reach there in about 6 hours by road, or you can take a scenic flight of 30 minutes too. Then, you can transfer to Dhanpus or Lauruk, from where the balloon ride will take off.

Hot air ballooning was started a long time ago but it was stopped due to some reasons. But now it has again started with a bang offer of getting chance of flying 5 times a day i.e. balloon is permitted to fly for 5 times a day (but initially it will fly for two times: morning and afternoon). It will fly 500m above the Pokhara city providing the spectacular view of mountains like Annapurna range, the Fishtail (Machhapuchhre), Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal, lakes, forests, and as a whole valley. On a clear day, the observed scenario remains even more breathtaking. The landing of balloon takes place in the bank of Mardi River.

The best months for a hot air balloon flight are September, October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May which excludes the months of monsoon season (June, July, August). The flights take place daily during these months but also depend upon the wind and its direction of flow (eastward or westward across the valley). People recommend different mountain flights and aircraft motions, but hot air ballooning is much more promising one than others as you will be on the basket and can enjoy the nature swinging on the air.

This flight ascends for Dhampus/Laurukh depending upon the weather, and around the beautiful city of the lake. The flight will ascend up to 200 feet high in the sky.

Eagle Eye Flight: Duration 30 minutes, Cost $120 per person

Eagle Eye Flight ascends for Dhampus/Laurukh which again depends upon the weather. In this flight, you will be floating like a cloud in the sky above the fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli and Lamjung Himal. Nonetheless, the flight also cover the fresh bird-eye view of Phewa lake.

Magical Voyage: Duration 60 minutes, Cost $150 per person

Magical Voyage wings around the beautiful Pokhara city, and see the breathtaking mountain ranges that flying above breathtaking mountain ranges.  You will be flying above the Annapurna range, the fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, and, Lamjung Himal.
