Around Nepal Bird Watching Tour - 14 days

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by one of the representative of Nature Trail Travel & Tours. He will then further escort you to your respective hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the domestic airport for your flight to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival at Nepalgunj, you will be picked up by one of our representative and will be driven to the hotel inside Bardia National park. Enjoy the welcome drinks and check into the hotel. Rest and relax in the garden and around the resort. Afternoon enjoy the nature walk. At evening, have dinner and stay at the same hotel.

After breakfast, start your walking tour inside the national park. Pack lunch will be served in afternoon. After lunch, explore and enjoy the jungle walk till late afternoon and walk back to the hotel. Dinner and rest at evening.

After breakfast, jeep drives to explore the community forest. After lunch, walk around the harvested land area, river habitats, river banks and open water areas to see the wide variety of Birds.

After Breakfast, start boat ride on Karnali River and explore the birds that come in the river shores to fulfill the thrust and gets chance to feed themselves with fishes. Followed by the Pack lunch, enjoy evening walk back to the resort experiencing the local life. You will also be benefited by the sights of the different species of birds.

After breakfast, our drive starts from Bardia to Lumbini. The drive will take around 7 hours to reach Lumbini from Bardia. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and rest overnight.

Early Morning drive to Jagdishpur Tal, which is the best wetland sanctuary in Nepal. Actually, in the winter, many migratory waterbird species come here. After that, we explore the Lumbini Garden. Lumbini is very famous for the sarus, or crane. They are the tallest flying birds, which are also endangered species. They can be seen in Lumbini Garden, the birthplace of Buddha, in the harvested land, and also in open places. Before having lunch, complete sightseeing tour inside the garden to capture the variety of birds like parakeets, owls, sarus, etc. After lunch, proceed for a sightseeing tour of the harvested land and open area.

After breakfast, drive from Lumbini to Chitwan which will take around 3/ 4 hours. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel, enjoy the welcome drink and after refreshment have lunch. Afterwards explores the garden in the hotel and walk through the town. Sometimes beautiful colorful bird can surprise you with its mesmerizing sound and beauty.

Enjoy a day Bird watching program in National Park with the bird specialist and get back to the hotel for the lunch.  You can walk along the river banks in evening. Chitwan is home of the stork bird. They can be seen offen while walking along the Rapti river banks.  Sometimes, huge numbers are seen in the same place while they are in search of their pray at the same time we can grab the view of sunset.

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara and have lunch on the way. Arrive hotel and after refreshment, we can enjoy boating in the Fewa lake which can also give chances to see the lake birds, as well as the birds in the jungle of fewa lake.

Whole day walk the hiking trail up to the peace pagoda which is also very famous for bird watching. If we are lucky we can observe: Bessa, Laughing Thrush, vultures, bulbuls, fly catchers, woodpecker’s etc.

On the following day, you will be driven back to Kathmandu via Prithvi highway. The drive will take around six to seven hours depending upon traffic to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara. Upon you arrival at Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your respective hotel for overnight stay.

Kathmandu is home to a variety of birds like the Sparrow, Crow, Bulbul, Parrot, Pigeon, Koel, Owl, and Dove, which can be enjoyed mostly anytime, and on this day we are likely to wake up early in the morning. After breakfast, drive to the Godawari forest, Godawari, and Phulchoki, which are very famous for the wide variety of birds as well as wild life. Entertain yourself by observing several species of birds’ throughout the day. After lunch, hike down and drive back to Kathmandu.

Depending upon your flight schedule, transfer to airport for departure.
