Nestled within Langtang National Park in Nepal’s BagmatiProvince, just 80 km north of Kathmandu, the Langtang Valley Trek is amoderate‑grade Himalayan adventure offering stunning mountain panoramas,biodiversity, and cultural immersion. Attracting fewer crowds than Everest orAnnapurna routes, it blends tranquility with majesty.
Highly suited to solo travelers, couples, families, or groups, the trek spans70–80 km round trip, typically over 8 to 11 days, depending on pace and sideexcursions (e.g. Gosaikunda, Kyanjin Ri, Tserko Ri).
Foreign trekkers must obtain:
- TIMS card: NPR 2,000 (~US $18)
- Langtang National Park entry permit: ~US $27 (NPR 3,000)
As of April 1, 2023, all foreign trekkers in Langtang Valley must beaccompanied by licensed guides.

Day 7 : Shermathang Trekking To Melamchi Bazaar (828m) And Drive To Kathmandu
