Highlights

Overview

Seti river rafting is a safe and an easily accessible white water rafting trip in Nepal which is an excellent river for bird-watchers and those interested in the abundance of nature.

The Seti Gandaki River, also known as the Seti River or the Seti Khola, is a river of western Nepal, a left tributary of the Trishuli River. The warm and beautiful Seti River passes through stunning jungle scenery, green hills and valleys. It is an excellent river for bird-watchers and those interested in the abundance of nature found on this trip. This River has relatively small volume but has blue and warm water and we recommend this as an ideal short trip for first time rafters or as “Warm-up” for intermediate kayakers.

River Seti can be reached from Damouli (a small village that lies in the Prithivi Highway in between Mugling to Pokhara) roughly 160 kilometers west of Kathmandu. .We take a drive along the Trishuli River admiring the lush landscape for around six hours until we reach Damauli. We will attend a short briefing program and continue 32 kilometres rafting until we reach at the confluence of Trishuli and Kaligandaki River at Gaighat. One can enjoy these adventure activities with their family. As, the journey passes through the settlements of Magar people one can learn about the unique aspects of Magar culture, lifestyle and many more.  The holy river Seti offers grade 3 and 4 rafting rapids. We officially end our rafting journey at Gaighat. As the put out point i.e Gaighat is near to Chitwan one can add jungle safari and other wildlife activities and exploring Tharu culture or can go for sightseeing in majestic Pokhara valley.
